myrtle beach south carolina myrtle beach sc
An introduction to the Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina and what makes it such a special place to visit.

starter
There is always a starter to welcome you and make sure people are off on time.

He will also give you a run down of useful information such as yardage markers, pin positions and location of restrooms.

ranger
You will usually find a ranger out on the course trying to make sure people keep up with play. However, their effectiveness does seem to vary course to course. Remember holiday golf can be slow by the very nature of it so try to be patient! Rangers are also for golfers assistance eg clubs get left on the course.

carts
Holiday golf in the USA normally means cart golf and Myrtle Beach is no exception.

A few courses allow walking after a certain time of the day but most of the time it is carts all the way.

To be honest you would not want to walk most of
the courses because they were designed for carts often with long distances between the green
and the next tee.

Some courses are built on reclaimed swamp or old rice plantations and long boardwalks are using
to link the holes.

Do not be put off by having a cart. You do get used
to it and in the heat it is often a welcome source
of relief and it can be great fun!.

and finally.
Do take time between shots to sniff the breeze and admire the wonderful scenery and wildlife!
