myrtle beach south carolina myrtle beach sc
An introduction to the Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina and what makes it such a special place to visit.

play 'til dark
This means exactly what it says and is usually available after 4pm. This option normally costs slightly more than a replay or cross over and is not as widely available. You would need to check with the courses.

rain check policy
One of the attractions of playing in the USA is their rain check policy. If you come off the course for rain you can get a rain check for 9 or 18 holes depending on how many holes you have played.

The course does not have to be closed as Americans tend to be fair weather golfers. We have received a rain check for sickness reasons so it is fairly flexible.

Rain check vouchers are normally valid for 12 months, or in some cases indefinitely.

We think this is a brilliant policy having ourselves once lost £62 green fees in Portugal when the course was closed...

tee times
Most courses operate a two tee system most of the year depending on daylight hours. This means tee times are limited normally to 2 hour periods in the morning and afternoon starting on the 1st and 10th tees.

second rounds
Depending on available light in the evenings and stamina there is the opportunity to
play extra rounds at a fraction of the
cost of the normal green fee.

replay or cross-over
Play another 9 or 18 holes on the same course or another course under the same ownership for little more than the cart fee. Some courses may allow you to walk in the afternoon although they may still charge for a cart.
