The Love course at Barefoot Resort ranked number 38 in the country. |
| Nine Myrtle Beach area courses in top 100 | |
| We have known for a long time about the quality of the golf in Myrtle Beach.
Over the years I feel that the sheer number of courses has been, to a certain extent, a millstone round the neck. It has been too easy for people to brand it a golf resort of quantity rather than quality. Now, finally through the well respected Golf Digest magazine, the area has gained the respect it deserves. |
Nine area courses were recently listed in the top 100 places you can play and not before time. The highest rank at 38 is the Love course at Barefoot Resort closely followed by The Dunes Club at 39. Tiger’s Eye Golf is at 41st followed by Caledonia at 58. Tidewater was ranked 67th with Heritage Club at 78 followed by the Fazio Course at Barefoot at 81. |
