GolfMyrtleBeach
In a nutshell, Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach are
perfect if you want nightlife, shopping and family attractions to go with your golf.

If you don't want to be particularly close to the ocean but
want plenty of golf and shopping opportunities then Legends golf resort on Highway 501 fits the bill.

For those looking for a quieter location with quality golf, interesting shops, beautiful beaches and fine dining then Litchfield and Pawleys Island are the areas for you.

Wherever you stay you are never far from 60 miles of wonderful pristine white sandy beaches and around 100 championship golf courses.

See the details of each area below for more information...

The North Tower at Barefoot Resort seen from Barefoot Landing – the main shopping, dining and entertainment centre in North Myrtle Beach

central

Myrtle Beach
A seaside and resort paradise for families and groups who want to be close to nightlife and other non-golfing activities.

Our accommodation is mostly ocean front hotels or situated around Broadway at the Beach which is the main shopping, dining and entertainment centre.

Oceanfront we have Marriott Resort, Hilton, Embassy Suites, Kingston Plantation villas and Ocean Reef Resort plus Fairfield Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn at Broadway at the Beach and Hampton Inn 76th Avenue.

Celebrity Square at Broadway at the Beach – the largest shopping, dining and entertainment centre
in the whole Myrtle Beach area

North Myrtle Beach
Miles of beautiful sandy beaches, almost limitless golf, restaurants, shopping, entertainment, fishing and boating.

If the Ocean is not a priority the Barefoot Golf & Resort is a great choice. The resort has four premier golf courses, high class accommodation at very reasonable rates, 2 club houses, a 3rd being built, 30 acre practice facility, outside cabana to meet up with buddies and several dining choices. The latest is the Docksiders Grill for meals all day alongside the Intracoastal Waterway.

to the south

Pawleys Island

A few miles south of Myrtle Beach, Pawleys Island, which Claims to be the "oldest resort in America", offers quiet seclusion whilst still boasting a variety of fantastic golf courses within a ten minute drive and many "fine dining" restaurants.

This is the best location from which to explore the vast history of the area which was once responsible for over 60% of the US rice crop. 12 miles away is Georgetown with an historic district and the Kaminski House Museum and only 1.5 hours drive is Charleston. A must visit with it's Civil War history and very many tourist attractions. Not least of which are the many historic houses and mansions built with the huge profits from rice and indigo which survived the Civil War.

Also within 5 miles is Brookgreen Gardens with the finest collection of sculpture in the US, Huntington Beach State Park and Hobcaw Barony a wildlife refuge. Hobcaw has ties to Winston Churchill who was a friend of the original owner.

Murrells Inlet is just a ten minute drive north. It was founded in the late 18th century and has supplied the Waccamaw neck area with seafood ever since. There is nothing quite like dining alongside the creek and watching the sun set. A gastronomic paradise with the accent on seafood but not a holiday residential area.

We have a very fine resort at Pawleys Plantation with a top class course (picture below) and golf school. The pub serves as a great meeting place to chew over the days hits and misses!

Litchfield
Just North of Pawleys Island Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort is one of the largest resort complexes anywhere. We have a vast choice of accommodation including hotel rooms, condos on the Ocean or golf villas and our rates include an extensive breakfast buffet. The resort has many other attractions including tennis courts, pool complex right on the sand dunes, cycle hire and kids activities.

Or you can choose Litchfield Plantation and stay in the only existing original plantation house in the area. The setting is wonderful, amongst Live Oaks and the pool and cabana overlook the old rice fields now a haven for all kinds of wildlife. There is even a resident ghost who inhabits the driveway!

The area has a number of top class golf courses within a five minute drive.

to the west

Highway 501
This main route out of Myrtle Beach towards Conway boasts a large number of golf complexes within the space of a few miles.

In the gaps between the golf courses you will find shopping malls which will keep you busy when not golfing.

We have great golf villa accommodation at Legends Resort. On site there are 3 top class courses, wonderful floodlit practice facilities, a huge clubhouse and a pub to meet up after golf.

At the entrance to Legends is a great steakhouse and over the main road Tanger Outlet stores with prices you can only dream about!

The spectacular Arnold Palmer designed King's North at Myrtle Beach National situated close to Legends Resort on highway 501
The townhomes at Legends Resort & Golf provide quality, spacious accomodation in a central location and with 3 top class golf courses and a floodlit practice range on-site it is an excellent choice.

to the east?

60 miles of white sandy beaches, the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, sail boats, sea birds, dolphins and the warm breeze!
