The advantage of shopping at Pro shops is that you are there already, they have logo merchandise as a memento of your round and all revenue helps to keep course and facilities standards high.

Over the last few years many pro shops have realised that they need to compete with the large outlets so prices have come down somewhat.

Most people on a mission head for the superstores where you can try clubs out, get them repaired or buy shoes and clothing at reduced prices. Prices are considerably cheaper than the UK and the choice is enormous.

Martin's PGA Tour Superstore Highway 17 South North Myrtle Beach and 29th Avenue across from Broadway at the Beach, a third will be opening on Hwy 17 at Murrells Inlet soon and Golf Dimensions Highway 17 South, 2 miles North of Barefoot Landing and Highway 501, 1/4 mile West of Waccamaw Factory Shoppes.

Before you plunge in it is worth looking at the back of the stores away from the current merchandise. There you will find second hand clubs, usually in sets and stuff a couple of years out of date at very low prices.
