Fantasy Harbour
Being English we wanted to see how the concept would transfer to Myrtle Beach and the answer is very well.

On entering we were given coloured crowns and were photographed with the "Queen". Feeling somewhat self conscious we went through to the assembly area where the reason for the crowns became obvious. The colour is used to seat people in one of 6 areas around the arena and with so many people it proved very efficient. Thereafter, if you are in the green area, for example, you cheer for the green "Knight"!

What struck us immediately was how much all the participants enjoyed themselves. They must have gone through the same acts hundreds of times but put everything they had into the fights and jousting etc.

The programme starts with a display by the beautiful Andalusian Stallions with commentary. Then the "Knights" show their skills in riding, sword play, man to man combat, jousting and other knightly games and we found this very realistic.

The show lasts for 2 hours during which a meal is served. The fare is basic and well cooked and you eat with your fingers. We would not say it was a culinary delight but wonder if it can be improved on given the numbers to be served at the same time.

A very nice touch towards the end was when the winning "Knight" chose the princess for the evening, a little girl, and she went to sit with the "King and "Queen". She was given a sash and flowers and loved it!

There is plenty to photograph so take extra film not to mention money as there is a large souvenir shop!
